七尾城是由昔日的能登國守護畠山満慶(Hatakeyama Mitsunori,不詳-1432)所建成的連郭式山城。資料館內展示的七尾城跡出土物以水晶製五輪塔為中心，還有城主愛用的刀劍武器、唐草樣式的鎧甲、及城主親筆所寫的書籍等，豐富地介紹能登畠山氏及七尾城跡的資料。
