這裡通過多媒體設備介紹了柏林從1237以來770多年的歷史，上下共有四層，面積達6000平方米，共23個主題展廳。館內的一項必看展覽是過去修建的能夠容納3600人的防核輻射地庫，在冷戰過後，這項防禦工事依舊保持原貌，據館方稱，這個防核輻射地庫至今還能使用。
