維也納最古老的音樂廳，建於1867年，是意大利文藝復興式建築。

維也納交響樂團每季至少在此舉辦12場音樂會，而每年舉行的維也納新年音樂更是通過電視衛星直播．

廳內有收藏館，一為展覽廳，另一間是檔案室，藏有大量歷代音樂書籍和樂譜、音樂大師的樂稿、書信和其他真跡，其中更有莫扎特《最後一個交響曲》的樂稿、舒伯特《未完成交響曲》的手稿等。
