the best cart food in NYC!!! the chicken the lamb the yellow rice the WHITE SAUCE the hot sauce (reeeaaaalllly spicy!!) hm...how can you resist that?
my experience
ever since i've tasted it 5 years ago, i've been getting "chicken rice" everytime i visited NYC. I could easily say it's among the top 3 of my list of things I miss from the US. Used to like chicken better, but now I prefer mix of lamb and chicken, with extra white sauce and a drizzle of hot sauce. It's really spicy, so beware!! The whole combination is just superb. It's also great comfort food in the middle of the night after a few beers. lol The only downside would be if you decide to eat at the location...there are rats on the streets!!!! I've seen rats that are the size of cats running around, looking for left overs.

You forgot to mention the most crucial part that completes the whole chicken rice experience, making it worth all the while...the process of "LINING UP" at the queue! You'd be lucky if your wait is less than 30 min. My longest waiting record was 1hr 45 mins!! I guess you can say I was really desperate, but trust me, it tastes better after the wait.
